The most creative city festival in Switzerland? It's definitely the Badenfahrt! For ten days, the city of Baden is transformed into a huge festival site with a multitude of bars. Instead of ordinary beer tents, you'll find imaginative, unusual structures that have been constructed by community groups with great effort and passion. I collaborated with colleagues to design the graphics for one such bar: the 'Wöschbar' at Badenfahrt 2023. This included the website and social media, as well as print media such as posters and graphics on the building itself, including the menu cards. In keeping with the 'Wösch' (washing) theme, we experimented with analogue techniques involving water, soap and a hairdryer to create an abstract, moving image reminiscent of the process inside a washing machine. The striking display font picks up on this dynamic, resembling the bulges of wet laundry in a washing machine.
