Esther Schneider is a podcaster, cultural journalist and presenter. After spending several years at Swiss Radio SRF, including 11 years as head of the literature department, she set up her own business. I designed her visual identity and website for Knopp+Kniel. The written word lies at the heart of Esther's podcast, her event format 'Literatursalon', and her presenting work. This is reflected in the typography, reminiscent of text lines or book spines. However, the spoken word is equally important. This is visualised in the doodle-like illustrations that break up the design. The fold-out structure of the website also evokes the idea of opening a book to read its contents.
